Version 3.1 — November 2, 2026
Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. From today, 2 November 2026, the new Privacy Policy (version 2.1) and Terms of Use (version 4.2) apply. The Greek text is in force; the English translation follows shortly. What changes:
Identity verification. If you wish, you can verify your account with an identity document through Stripe, for a one-off 5 €. The photos of your document and your face stay with Stripe and are deleted after the check; we keep only the result. If you would rather not have a face comparison, write to us for another way.
Card payments. For card payments, Stripe is now the seller of the service and sends you the receipt. For PayPal payments the receipt still comes from us, as before.
Transaction safety. To protect against fraud we take into account, among other things, the country you connect from and your device's time zone, to decide whether to ask you to verify a mobile number or your identity before an action. We never refuse access on the basis of country.
We also corrected our company details and the list of partners who process data on our behalf.

🆕 New Features
Identity & payments
Identity verification: for 5 € you confirm your details through Stripe (identity card, passport or driving licence and a selfie), without leaving noiz, and get the «Verified» badge on your profile and on the page of each of your listings. The new «Verification» tab on your profile explains how it works, who sees what and what the badge means.
Card payments now go through Stripe, which also sends you the receipt. On the payment page you choose the payment method first, and receipt details (name, address) are asked only for PayPal, prefilled from last time.
New «Delivery and payment» step when you post a listing: say whether you hand over in person or ship with the carrier you use (BoxNow, ACS and others in Greece, DHL, UPS, FedEx, ELTA EMS abroad), who pays for shipping and how you want to be paid (cash, cash on delivery, bank transfer, PayPal, Revolut, IRIS).
The listing page has a new «Delivery and payment» section showing only what the seller offers.
New «Payment details» tab on your profile: save your IBAN, PayPal, Revolut and IRIS once (securely, with the IBAN checked as you type) and send them to the buyer inside the conversation with the «Send payment details» button.
Listing page
New «About the seller» section (member since, sales, reply time, verified mobile, «Send message» and «All listings») and «Seller reviews» with the average and the reviews themselves, right on the listing page.
Messages
A green dot shows when the other member is online, dots while they are typing, and messages arrive instantly.
«Seen» under your last message as soon as the other member opens it.
If you call a member who appears offline, we tell you when they were last online, and you can still call if you like.
A «New member» label appears next to accounts that have just opened, and suspicious bulk messages from new accounts are held for review before they reach you.
«Report»: from a conversation or a member's profile, tell us privately about a bad experience. It is never published; the noiz team reviews it.
Offers & sales
When you accept an offer, the buyer has 72 hours to send you shipping details. They get a reminder at 24 hours and can ask once for a few more days, while you are notified if the deadline passes and can release yourself.
If a buyer messaged you or made an offer and you did not reply, on day three we ask «Is it still available?» with «Yes» / «Sold» buttons. If you do not answer by day seven, the listing is withdrawn (one «Yes» brings it back) and the buyer is shown 4 similar listings.
Offers and counter-offers expire after 7 days without an answer, with a reminder on day three, and every pending offer shows when it expires. If the listing no longer exists, we suggest 4 similar ones.
When you mark a listing «Sold», you choose which member bought it, and only they get a «Write a review» note in the conversation that opens the form with the listing already selected.
If you write in a conversation that the instrument has sold, we suggest marking the listing «Sold», and we remember «Not this one».
On a member's profile, the «Write a review» button opens a menu with two options: a review of a sale or a report of an experience.
In «My listings»: a «Restore» button for a listing you paused yourself, and for a listing noiz hid you see why and since when, and bring it back at once with «Still available».
Search & alerts
New «Area» button inside the search box: pick a region or town once (with listing counts) and your searches show listings from there.
Smart Search answers for the area you picked, and if you type a place in the search («all thessaloniki», «guitar in crete») it searches there.
As soon as you tap the search box, before typing, you see your recent searches, your saved searches (with how many new listings each has) and what people search for most this week.
New «Listing type» filter (Sale / Exchange only / Wanted) in every category, to find «Wanted» ads easily.
When Smart Search finds nothing for sale, it keeps its answer instead of an empty page, with a «Save search» button so you hear as soon as something matching is posted.
Save a search even without an account: tap «Save», sign in, and the search saves itself.
New alert box on the home page: type what you are looking for and we let you know when it is posted, even without an account (confirmed by email).
New weekly email on Sunday morning with what happened on your account: offers and messages waiting, new reviews and followers, new listings from people you follow, and views and saves on your listings. If nothing happened it does not come, and you can turn it off in Settings.
If our emails are not reaching you (full mailbox, an address that no longer exists, marked as spam), a bar on the site tells you, with a «Change email» button.
One-click unsubscribe from saved-search and price-drop emails, and a new switch in Settings for price-drop emails.
Profile & account
Display name: choose the name other members see. When a member changes their name, their profile shows «Formerly …» and your conversation tells you for 30 days.
«Freeze» your account instead of deleting it: your listings are hidden, you get no notifications, nobody can start a new conversation with you, and one button brings everything back.
Professional sellers have their own shop address, noiz.gr/shop/your-shop-name/, which follows name changes.
A share button on profiles: on a phone it opens the share menu, elsewhere it copies the link.
New «Settings» icon at the top: switch theme (Light, Dark or «System»), turn on push notifications and go to your profile settings, without leaving the page.
Look
A new, quieter look across the site: cleaner cards with a bold title and larger price, the save heart always visible, the condition written in full («Good condition») and a wider page on large screens.
Categories
New «Wind» and «Strings» pages under Bands & Orchestras, gathering saxophones, clarinets, flutes, trumpets, violins, cellos and more in one list.
New categories: Ukulele, Brass & other wind, Wind accessories, String accessories, and a «Pianos» page with acoustic and electric pianos together.
Bouzouki makers as brands (Karvounis, Giannoulos, Rotskos, Mouratidis and others) in the «Brand» filter.
Musicians, teachers and schools can post a listing with only a YouTube link, no photo: the video's image becomes the listing photo.
Music teachers
New teacher page: what they teach, weekly «Availability», areas covered, a «Free 1st lesson» badge, lesson formats, videos playing in the page, zoomable photos and «Share page».
Write a lesson review right on the teacher's page, as long as you have talked in chat, even without an account (confirmed by email).
New form for teachers: «Subject» with new lessons (theory, DJ, production, DAW and more), «Specialisation», areas where you travel to teach, up to 10 entries under Studies and separate fields for your social links.
As a teacher you see your page as a student sees it, with a bar to edit it.
When you ask for a lesson, you can tick «Send me other teachers for what I'm looking for» and we email you teachers for the same instrument and your area.
Teachers get a weekly email with their page views and tips for finding more students.
Forum
The noiz forum moved to noiz.gr/forum, and every link on the site leads there.
A new «Forum discussions» strip on the home page with the liveliest threads of the week.
Forum threads show available listings for the gear being discussed, and lesson threads show teachers for that instrument with town and price.
The seller card shows whether the seller is a forum member and since when (e.g. «Forum member since 2008»).
Privacy & pages
Fewer cookies: Google Analytics was removed, traffic statistics are measured without cookies, YouTube videos send nothing to Google until you press play, and a new simple notice with «OK» and «Settings».
New «In the press» page with what has been written about noiz and our press releases.

Look & navigation
New header: a bigger search box with «New listing» beside it, a new logo, labelled icons (Notifications, Messages, Favourites), and a category bar with «Guitars & Basses» in one menu, «Keys», «Lessons» and «Musicians», Brands · Newest · Forum on the right, and the section you are in highlighted in orange.
On a computer, scrolling up shows a slim bar with search, «New listing» and your account.
A tidier account menu: «My listings» first, theme and push notifications on one line, fits on a laptop screen, and on a phone it slides in from the right.
On a phone the top shows only the logo and search, and the bottom bar has a «Home» tab for visitors too.
A refreshed footer: language and theme together, languages in their own names, «Help / Contact» opens the chat on the first tap, and on a phone nothing is hidden under the bottom bar.
Pages load faster, especially on phones, and the listing page and «Your feed» no longer jump while loading.
Ads between listings line up with the list, come after a full row and no longer look like a listing; there are no ads on teacher pages, your account pages or the forum.
In categories the last row of listings is always full, at any screen width.
On tablets the home page uses the full width, and the noiz icon shows correctly in browser tabs and on the iPhone home screen.
When you share a noiz page, the Facebook and X preview shows a large image.
In the installed web app, listings open in the same window, and the install button explains how to install it in your browser.
Listing page
Long descriptions fold with «Read more», specifications are easier to read, and «Price history» is not shown on listings without a price.
«From the forum» under a listing shows only threads that mention the brand or model.
On product pages (e.g. Technics SL-1200 MK2) the available listings come first, with price and «Sell yours» in one card.
Search & filters
Smart Search puts listings of the exact model you typed («Roland Fantom») before those that merely mention it, and finds model codes however you write them («P-90», «P90»).
When you search for a part («stratocaster body», «Gibson pickups»), you see the part first.
Searches like «Guitar under 300» show a balanced mix of every kind (electric, acoustic, classical…).
Inside a category, Smart Search shows that category's listings first, and a new question clears the previous answer.
In Smart Search promoted listings come first, as in classic search, only when they match what you are looking for, and listings use the same card everywhere.
When you put a price in your search («under 300»), listings without a price are left out.
If your area hides what you are looking for, Smart Search says so and shows how many listings exist nationwide.
A misspelt Greek word finds the listings that spell it correctly.
Smart Search speaks English fully on /en/.
The counts next to each filter option follow the filters you have already set, so you do not see options with no results.
Shorter filter names, the year filter groups older years into decades, and for electric guitars the body is split into construction, shape, size and cutaway.
«Jazz» appears only for guitars and «P-style» / «J-style» only for basses.
In «Saved searches» you can add a search in your own words (e.g. «guitar under 300€»).
Saved-search emails say which search they are about and no longer bring unrelated listings from half a word.
Posting a listing
Words like «BARGAIN», «For sale», «!!!» or «Excellent condition» move from the title to the subtitle, and a title written in all capitals is corrected automatically.
The form asks for each category's specifications (e.g. cymbal size and alloy, drum size), including the Classic categories.
When you type a model with details we do not have in the catalogue (e.g. «Laney Ironheart 120W»), the form still suggests the right product.
Required questions can no longer be skipped, and the message says exactly which are missing.
Links that send buyers to another marketplace (Reverb, Vendora, Vinted, Facebook Marketplace) are not allowed; links to Thomann, eBay or Skroutz for price comparison are.
Phone numbers and emails no longer slip through disguised in the title or description («at gmail dot com», numbers split with symbols).
If you posted the same listing twice, we let you know, and after a week the older one is deactivated (not deleted).
A promoted listing cannot be turned into a different item; price, description, photos and condition can change freely.
Offers & listings
A new window for offers to people who saved your listing: «Everyone» or one person, ready discounts of −5/10/15/20%, and the button says exactly what will be sent (e.g. «Send €720 to 16 people»).
«My offers» is split into «Waiting for your reply», «In progress» and «History», with one card per negotiation, the earlier rounds, and «Message» to open the conversation.
An offer you did not answer no longer hides your listing, and listings hidden only for that reason are back.
Automatic bump-ups happen once per interval at a fixed time, and the bell tells you how many times your listing was bumped.
After paying for a bump-up you see a clear page with your listing and what happened, and the card payment form already has your email and is in your language.
Messages
The message list shows the listing you are talking about next to the name, a plainly written date, and a badge when a message is a photo, video, voice note, location or call.
The «Contact» window shows who you are writing to and about which listing, with the same message box as in Messages and Ctrl/Cmd+Enter to send.
Attachments show upload progress and can be cancelled, very large files are rejected before sending, and large videos upload without getting stuck.
HEIC photos from iPhones send normally (converted to JPEG, without location data).
The top of a conversation shows where the other member is.
If you open a message link while signed in to another of your accounts, we tell you instead of «page not found».
Clearer subjects: «New message from …», «Price dropped: …, now …», how many new listings your search has, and offer emails say whose listing it is.
Listing-expiry emails tell you plainly to press one of the two buttons, because replying to the email reaches no one.
You no longer get an email when our team moves your listing to the right category.
Sign-up & sign-in
The mobile number at sign-up starts with your country and explains how to enter a foreign number; Cypriot mobiles are accepted like Greek ones, and if an SMS code to a foreign number does not arrive, you can get it by email.
If you tap «Contact» and first need to verify your mobile, the message window opens by itself when you are done.
If you signed in with Google or Facebook to sell, you go straight to the posting form, and if your Facebook account had no real email, you are asked for one once.
Sign-in with X (Twitter) was removed. Sign in with Google, Facebook, Apple, a password or an email link.
Sign-up no longer accepts an email, phone number or link in the name, or names that imitate noiz or its support.
A refreshed password reset page with a password strength meter.
Profile & account
«My profile» was rebuilt in tabs, with clearer fields, the mobile number in the SMS tab, and an optional postcode and address for private sellers too.
In Settings every option saves as soon as you tap it.
«Website» on the profile accepts only real addresses, and «About you» does not accept links to other marketplaces.
If your profile location was filled in from your listings, we ask once whether it is right.
Teachers & musicians
The teacher page shows «Verified mobile», a mark on each available hour, a bigger rating and the teacher's links, every review in full, and «Other teachers» at the end.
The «Music lessons» page lists teachers who state a price first, and links to lessons appear on the home page and in instrument categories.
For teachers: the price is required, the description does not accept a phone number or email, a listing stays active 180 days before you are asked to confirm it, and the promotion suggestion also appears after editing.
«Musicians Wanted» became cards with a photo, a label for who is looking for whom, instruments and genres, filters at the top and sorting by date.
🐞 Fixed
A price written with a dot («3.000») was saved as 3 €; it is now read correctly, and the affected price histories were corrected. In the offer window, an amount like «2,970» is read correctly too.
«I accept offers» is respected: if you have not ticked it, buyers cannot make you an offer.
The «Write a review» button on profiles no longer stays disabled, and you can review after an accepted offer or the buyer you chose when marking the listing sold.
Saved searches with filters (several brands, an area) save exactly what you saw and notify you properly.
Description edits show on the listing, line breaks are no longer doubled, and symbols like «<br>» no longer appear.
In the posting form your latest typing is saved before publishing, «Save & continue later» takes you back to your listing, and YouTube links are accepted in any form.
A voice note you just recorded plays in Safari without reloading.
Photos in «Wanted» listings and new photos after editing show on the cards again, and very large photos upload without an error.
Profile photo cropping works again.
The category trail above each listing shows the right category again, and the counts in the pedal-type menu are correct.
A member's profile shows all their listings, with pages, and review rating bars add up correctly.
Profiles whose address ends in a number (e.g. «-4») open normally.
Mobile verification: «Continue» works after the code, pasting the number works, «Send again» resends the same code, the window opens properly the first time in Safari, and it no longer unsubscribes you from the newsletter.
Signing in and signing up with Apple work for every account, including when Apple sends no name.
Some members were signed out on every page and signed back in automatically; fixed.
In a conversation, a reply arriving right after your message shows without reloading, and conversations with visitors without an account send normally.
Declining push notifications in one browser no longer stops them on your other devices.
Listing links shared on Facebook and Messenger show a photo and title again.
Listing page tabs work after signing in with Facebook.
Product pages with active listings open again without an error.
In the dark theme the «Filters» panel is readable, the footer theme switch works, and «Active» is readable on promoted listings.
The photo gallery works on older Android browsers and slow connections, and the page no longer freezes on some iPhones.
Smart Search no longer breaks on symbols like «(G2/G3», titles with & display correctly, and filter links with special characters (e.g. «Höfner») no longer show an empty page.
Search suggestions no longer stall on very short words or emoji.
Payments: an amount like 8.95 € is no longer charged as 8.94 €, the receipt carries the payment date, completed card payments that had not reached us now activate the promotion, and a coupon applies to the payment you are making now.
On the Credits page the days left for Featured and Highlight are correct.
Teachers and bands with a promoted listing can now change its title.
«Still available» / «Sold» links in our emails work in English too, and the password reset email no longer shows odd characters.
Old links from the previous version of the site, the forum and old photo addresses open the right page instead of an error.
The «Security Support» scam messages were removed from every inbox.
Security improvements: a password reset signs out devices that «remembered» you, your password is never stored in plain text, and sign-in and «Remember me» are safer.
RSS was removed, together with its icon in the footer.
